The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नभःस्तम्भनिभाबन्धधारानीरन्ध्रवर्षणैः ।
कर्षणैः कल्पवह्नीनां छमच्छमघनध्वनि ॥ ८ ॥

nabhaḥstambhanibhābandhadhārānīrandhravarṣaṇaiḥ |
karṣaṇaiḥ kalpavahnīnāṃ chamacchamaghanadhvani || 8 ||

A loud hubbub filled the world, raised by the incessant fall of rain in columns from the vault of heaven; and by the roaring and growling of the kalpa fire.
