The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उह्यमानं भवाम्भोधौ वासनावीचिवेल्लितम् ।
निगिरन्तीन्द्रियग्राहा महाक्रन्दपरायणम् ॥ ६४ ॥

uhyamānaṃ bhavāmbhodhau vāsanāvīcivellitam |
nigirantīndriyagrāhā mahākrandaparāyaṇam || 64 ||

They are tossed about in the ocean of the world, by the dashing waves of their desires; and are swallowed by the sharks of their sense, with the loss of their lives and souls.
