The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अकर्तरि मनस्यन्तरकर्तृत्वं स्फुटं भवेत् ।
शून्यचित्तो हि पुरुषः कुर्वन्नपि न चेतति ॥ ३८ ॥

akartari manasyantarakartṛtvaṃ sphuṭaṃ bhavet |
śūnyacitto hi puruṣaḥ kurvannapi na cetati || 38 ||

Inactivity of the mind, causes the inaction of the body; and though it should act by its physical force, yet the insane mind is not sensible of the action.
