The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असत्यैव विकल्पोक्तिः सत्यभावो विकल्पते ।
तमोपहतदृष्टित्वाद्द्विचन्द्रज्ञानदोषवत् ॥ ३३ ॥

asatyaiva vikalpoktiḥ satyabhāvo vikalpate |
tamopahatadṛṣṭitvāddvicandrajñānadoṣavat || 33 ||

It is untruth that wavers and equivocates in double entendres. It prevaricates the truth, as the defective eye views the double moon in the sky.
