The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.30.16

दावाग्निक्वथिताल्पाल्पपङ्ककल्पाम्बुपायिनः ।
न म्रियन्ते न जीवन्ति जरज्जम्बालजर्जराः ॥ १६ ॥

dāvāgnikvathitālpālpapaṅkakalpāmbupāyinaḥ |
na mriyante na jīvanti jarajjambālajarjarāḥ || 16 ||

Being burnt in hell fire at first, they have now their respite in the watery lake, and drink its filthy water, whereby they neither die nor live to their hearts content.
