The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

म्रियमाणमहावज्ञाशूराश्रितपलायनम् ।
अशङ्कितासृगावर्तभीमास्पदगमोत्सुकम् ॥ ४० ॥

mriyamāṇamahāvajñāśūrāśritapalāyanam |
aśaṅkitāsṛgāvartabhīmāspadagamotsukam || 40 ||

The cowards fearing to be killed betook themselves to base flight; but the dauntless brave stepped forward amidst the whirlpools of blood.
