The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अनन्यशब्दाविरतहताहतिरणज्झणैः ।
गायतीव क्षतक्षोभमुदितो रणभैरवः ॥ ४९ ॥

ananyaśabdāviratahatāhatiraṇajjhaṇaiḥ |
gāyatīva kṣatakṣobhamudito raṇabhairavaḥ || 49 ||

The field of battle, where all other sounds are hushed under the clashing of arms, resembles the stage of the martial god Bhairava, chanting his pitiless war song in jarring cacophony.
