The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.25.4

अन्तर्गुणगणाकीर्णं सुरन्ध्रैः सुषिरैर्वृतम् ।
उह्यमानपयःपूरैर्दिवसालोककान्तिमत् ॥ ४ ॥

antarguṇagaṇākīrṇaṃ surandhraiḥ suṣirairvṛtam |
uhyamānapayaḥpūrairdivasālokakāntimat || 4 ||

Its long stalks which are as white as the bright day light, are composed of fibres serving for food, and of tubes conducting the drink to living beings.
