The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.2.11; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

हुङ्कारो, यथा —
वैणव-ध्वनिभिर् उद्भ्रमद्-धियः
शङ्करस्य दिवि हुङ्कृति-स्वनः ।
ध्वंसयन्न् अपि मुहुः स दानवं
साधु-वृन्दम् अकरोत् सदा नवम् ॥२.२.११॥

huṅkāro, yathā —
vaiṇava-dhvanibhir udbhramad-dhiyaḥ
śaṅkarasya divi huṅkṛti-svanaḥ
|
dhvaṃsayann api muhuḥ sa dānavaṃ
sādhu-vṛndam akarot sadā navam
||2.2.11||

English translation

Bellowing:
“Hearing the sound of the vīṇā, Śiva, his mind excited, bellowed in such a way that it destroyed the demons and gave the highest bliss to the devotees at every moment.”
