The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.2.7; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. गीतं, यथा —
राग-डम्बर-करम्बित-चेताः कुर्वती तव नवं गुण-गानम् ।
गोकुलेन्द्र कुरुते जलतां सा राधिकाद्य-दृषदां सुहृदां च ॥२.२.७॥gītaṃ, yathā —
rāga-ḍambara-karambita-cetāḥ kurvatī tava navaṃ guṇa-gānam |
gokulendra kurute jalatāṃ sā rādhikādya-dṛṣadāṃ suhṛdāṃ ca ||2.2.7||
English translation
Singing:
“Moon of Gokula! Today Rādhā whose mind is possessed by the beauty of the Śrī Rāga (or the zeal of love), is singing a new song about You. Her friends have become like stones, and the stones have melted.”
