The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.221; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. हरिः पूर्णतमः पूर्णतरः पूर्ण इति त्रिधा ।
श्रेष्ठ-मध्यादिभिः शब्दैर् नाट्ये यः परिपठ्यते ॥२.१.२२१॥hariḥ pūrṇatamaḥ pūrṇataraḥ pūrṇa iti tridhā |
śreṣṭha-madhyādibhiḥ śabdair nāṭye yaḥ paripaṭhyate ||2.1.221||
English translation
“The Lord takes three forms described as most perfect, more perfect and perfect. These are described in nāṭya-śāstra as best, medium and inferior.”
