The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.174 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ तत्-कृपेक्षणं, यथा दशमे (१०.१४.८) —
तत् ते’नुकम्पां सु-समीक्षमाणो
भुञ्जान एवात्म-कृतं विपाकम् ।
हृद्-वाग्-वपुर्भिर् विदधन् नमस् ते

जीवेत यो मुक्ति-पदे स दाय-भाक् ॥१.२.१७४ ॥

atha tat-kṛpekṣaṇaṃ, yathā daśame (10.14.8) —
tat te’nukampāṃ su-samīkṣamāṇo
bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṃ vipākam |
hṛd-vāg-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te


jīveta yo mukti-pade sa dāya-bhāk ||1.2.174 ||

English translation

Expecting the Lord’s mercy, from the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [10.14.8]:
“My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim.”
