तृ॒ष्टमे॒तत्कटु॑कमे॒तद॑पा॒ष्ठव॑द्वि॒षव॒न्नैतदत्त॑वे । सू॒र्यां यो ब्र॒ह्मा वि॒द्यात्स इद्वाधू॑यमर्हति ॥
तृष्टमेतत्कटुकमेतदपाष्ठवद्विषवन्नैतदत्तवे । सूर्यां यो ब्रह्मा विद्यात्स इद्वाधूयमर्हति ॥
tṛṣṭam etat kaṭukam etad apāṣṭhavad viṣavan naitad attave | sūryāṃ yo brahmā vidyāt sa id vādhūyam arhati ||
English translation:
“This (garment) is inflaming, it is pungent; it is like stale Soma; it is like poison; it is not fit to eat; theBrāhmaṇa, who knows Sūrya, verily desires the bridal (garment).”
