महि॒ ज्योति॒र्बिभ्र॑तं त्वा विचक्षण॒ भास्व॑न्तं॒ चक्षु॑षेचक्षुषे॒ मय॑: । आ॒रोह॑न्तं बृह॒तः पाज॑स॒स्परि॑ व॒यं जी॒वाः प्रति॑ पश्येम सूर्य ॥
महि ज्योतिर्बिभ्रतं त्वा विचक्षण भास्वन्तं चक्षुषेचक्षुषे मयः । आरोहन्तं बृहतः पाजसस्परि वयं जीवाः प्रति पश्येम सूर्य ॥
mahi jyotir bibhrataṃ tvā vicakṣaṇa bhāsvantaṃ cakṣuṣe-cakṣuṣe mayaḥ | ārohantam bṛhataḥ pājasas pari vayaṃ jīvāḥ prati paśyema sūrya ||
English translation:
“May we, enoying (long) life, day by day behold you, Sūrya, who glance over all things, invested withgreat lustre, radiant, giving joy to every eye, and rising above the vast and mighty (ocean).”
