Rig Veda 10.18.6

आ रो॑ह॒तायु॑र्ज॒रसं॑ वृणा॒ना अ॑नुपू॒र्वं यत॑माना॒ यति॒ ष्ठ । इ॒ह त्वष्टा॑ सु॒जनि॑मा स॒जोषा॑ दी॒र्घमायु॑: करति जी॒वसे॑ वः ॥
आ रोहतायुर्जरसं वृणाना अनुपूर्वं यतमाना यति ष्ठ । इह त्वष्टा सुजनिमा सजोषा दीर्घमायुः करति जीवसे वः ॥
ā rohatāyur jarasaṃ vṛṇānā anupūrvaṃ yatamānā yati ṣṭha | iha tvaṣṭā sujanimā sajoṣā dīrgham āyuḥ karati jīvase vaḥ ||

English translation:

“(You kinsmen of the dead man), choosing old age, attain length of life, striving one after the other, howmany soever you may be; may Tvaṣṭā, the creator.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Striving one after the other: the eldest first; of good racesof men, being at one (with you), grant you (busy) at this (sacrifice), a long life
