अव्ये॑ पुना॒नं परि॒ वार॑ ऊ॒र्मिणा॒ हरिं॑ नवन्ते अ॒भि स॒प्त धे॒नव॑: । अ॒पामु॒पस्थे॒ अध्या॒यव॑: क॒विमृ॒तस्य॒ योना॑ महि॒षा अ॑हेषत ॥
अव्ये पुनानं परि वार ऊर्मिणा हरिं नवन्ते अभि सप्त धेनवः । अपामुपस्थे अध्यायवः कविमृतस्य योना महिषा अहेषत ॥
avye punānam pari vāra ūrmiṇā hariṃ navante abhi sapta dhenavaḥ | apām upasthe adhy āyavaḥ kavim ṛtasya yonā mahiṣā aheṣata ||
English translation:
“The seven kine approach the green-tinted (Soma) who flows purified in a stream through the woollen fleece, mighty men urge (you) the sage on the lap of the waters to the plural ce of sacrifice.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
The seven kine: the seven verses, gāyatrī and others, or the seven rivers; to the plural ce of sacrifice: or to the water; ṛtam is added: ṛtam yoniḥ = ṛtasya yoniḥ, meaning water
