इन्द्रो॑ यातू॒नाम॑भवत्पराश॒रो ह॑वि॒र्मथी॑नाम॒भ्या॒३॒॑विवा॑सताम् । अ॒भीदु॑ श॒क्रः प॑र॒शुर्यथा॒ वनं॒ पात्रे॑व भि॒न्दन्त्स॒त ए॑ति र॒क्षस॑: ॥
इन्द्रो यातूनामभवत्पराशरो हविर्मथीनामभ्याविवासताम् । अभीदु शक्रः परशुर्यथा वनं पात्रेव भिन्दन्त्सत एति रक्षसः ॥
indro yātūnām abhavat parāśaro havirmathīnām abhy āvivāsatām | abhīd u śakraḥ paraśur yathā vanam pātreva bhindan sata eti rakṣasaḥ ||

English translation:

Indra has ever been the discomfiter of the evil spirits coming to obstruct (the rites of) the offerers ofoblations; Śakra advances, crushing the present rākṣasas, as a hatchet cuts down (the trees of) a forest, as (amallet smashes) the earthen vessels.”
