Rig Veda 5.15.5

वाजो॒ नु ते॒ शव॑सस्पा॒त्वन्त॑मु॒रुं दोघं॑ ध॒रुणं॑ देव रा॒यः । प॒दं न ता॒युर्गुहा॒ दधा॑नो म॒हो रा॒ये चि॒तय॒न्नत्रि॑मस्पः ॥
वाजो नु ते शवसस्पात्वन्तमुरुं दोघं धरुणं देव रायः । पदं न तायुर्गुहा दधानो महो राये चितयन्नत्रिमस्पः ॥
vājo nu te śavasas pātv antam uruṃ doghaṃ dharuṇaṃ deva rāyaḥ | padaṃ na tāyur guhā dadhāno maho rāye citayann atrim aspaḥ ||

English translation:

“Divine, Agni, may the (sacrificial) food, the vast yielder (of benefits to men), the sustainer of riches, support the utmost of your vigour; and do you considering (the means of acquiring) great riches, like a thief keeping concealed the article (he has stolen), be propitious to Atri.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Like a thief: the implication may be that wealth bestowed upon the ṛṣi is deposited in a secure receptacle, like the hidden booty of a thief, padam na tayur guham dadhānaḥ
