ई॒यि॒वांस॒मति॒ स्रिध॒: शश्व॑ती॒रति॑ स॒श्चत॑: । अन्वी॑मविन्दन्निचि॒रासो॑ अ॒द्रुहो॒ऽप्सु सिं॒हमि॑व श्रि॒तम् ॥
ईयिवांसमति स्रिधः शश्वतीरति सश्चतः । अन्वीमविन्दन्निचिरासो अद्रुहोऽप्सु सिंहमिव श्रितम् ॥
īyivāṃsam ati sridhaḥ śaśvatīr ati saścataḥ | anv īm avindan nicirāso adruho 'psu siṃham iva śritam ||
English translation:
“The benignant and long-lived deities have discovered you, Agni, when required to go against their constant and assembled foes, hidden in the waters like a lion (in a cave).”
