अ॒स्य र॒ण्वा स्वस्ये॑व पु॒ष्टिः संदृ॑ष्टिरस्य हिया॒नस्य॒ दक्षो॑: । वि यो भरि॑भ्र॒दोष॑धीषु जि॒ह्वामत्यो॒ न रथ्यो॑ दोधवीति॒ वारा॑न् ॥
अस्य रण्वा स्वस्येव पुष्टिः संदृष्टिरस्य हियानस्य दक्षोः । वि यो भरिभ्रदोषधीषु जिह्वामत्यो न रथ्यो दोधवीति वारान् ॥
asya raṇvā svasyeva puṣṭiḥ saṃdṛṣṭir asya hiyānasya dakṣoḥ | vi yo bharibhrad oṣadhīṣu jihvām atyo na rathyo dodhavīti vārān ||
English translation:
“The cherishing of Agni is as agreeable as (the cherishing) of one's self; (plural asant) is his appearance, when spreading abroad, and consuming (the fuel); he brandishes his flame among the bushes, as a chariot-horse lashes with his tail.”
