अप्र॑युच्छ॒न्नप्र॑युच्छद्भिरग्ने शि॒वेभि॑र्नः पा॒युभि॑: पाहि श॒ग्मैः । अद॑ब्धेभि॒रदृ॑पितेभिरि॒ष्टेऽनि॑मिषद्भि॒: परि॑ पाहि नो॒ जाः ॥
अप्रयुच्छन्नप्रयुच्छद्भिरग्ने शिवेभिर्नः पायुभिः पाहि शग्मैः । अदब्धेभिरदृपितेभिरिष्टेऽनिमिषद्भिः परि पाहि नो जाः ॥
aprayucchann aprayucchadbhir agne śivebhir naḥ pāyubhiḥ pāhi śagmaiḥ | adabdhebhir adṛpitebhir iṣṭe 'nimiṣadbhiḥ pari pāhi no jāḥ ||

English translation:

Agni, never heedless (of us), guard us with never heedless, auspicious, and joy-bestowing cares; do you, who are desired (by all), protect us, and those born of us, with unobstructed unovercome, and never slumbering (vigilance).”
