घृ॒तप्र॑तीकं व ऋ॒तस्य॑ धू॒र्षद॑म॒ग्निं मि॒त्रं न स॑मिधा॒न ऋ॑ञ्जते । इन्धा॑नो अ॒क्रो वि॒दथे॑षु॒ दीद्य॑च्छु॒क्रव॑र्णा॒मुदु॑ नो यंसते॒ धिय॑म् ॥
घृतप्रतीकं व ऋतस्य धूर्षदमग्निं मित्रं न समिधान ऋञ्जते । इन्धानो अक्रो विदथेषु दीद्यच्छुक्रवर्णामुदु नो यंसते धियम् ॥
ghṛtapratīkaṃ va ṛtasya dhūrṣadam agnim mitraṃ na samidhāna ṛñjate | indhāno akro vidatheṣu dīdyac chukravarṇām ud u no yaṃsate dhiyam ||
English translation:
“The kindler (of the sacrificial fire) propitiates Agni, of glistening form; the upholder of your ceremony, like a friend; well kindled and well supplied (with fuel); blazing brightly at holy rites, he illumines our pure and pious observances.”
