क ई॑षते तु॒ज्यते॒ को बि॑भाय॒ को मं॑सते॒ सन्त॒मिन्द्रं॒ को अन्ति॑ । कस्तो॒काय॒ क इभा॑यो॒त रा॒येऽधि॑ ब्रवत्त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ को जना॑य ॥
क ईषते तुज्यते को बिभाय को मंसते सन्तमिन्द्रं को अन्ति । कस्तोकाय क इभायोत रायेऽधि ब्रवत्तन्वे को जनाय ॥
ka īṣate tujyate ko bibhāya ko maṃsate santam indraṃ ko anti | kas tokāya ka ibhāyota rāye 'dhi bravat tanve ko janāya ||
English translation:
“Who goes forth, (through dread of foes, when Indra is at hand); who is harmed (by his enemies); who is terrified; who is aware that Indra is present, who that he is night? What need is there that any one should importune Indra for his son, his elephant, his property, his person n, or his people?”
