The Garga-samhita Verse 8.9.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 8 of Chapter 9 (Lord Balarama’s Rasa Dance) of Canto 8 (balabhadra-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अद्य माम् अवज्ञाय नयसि मयाहूतापि मुसलेन त्वं काम-
चारिणीं शतधा नेष्य एव निर्भर्त्सिता स भूरि-भीता यमुना
चकिता तत्-पादयोह् पतितोवाच.

adya mām avajñāya nayasi mayāhūtāpi musalena tvaṃ kāma-
cāriṇīṃ śatadhā neṣya eva nirbhartsitā sa bhūri-bhītā yamunā
cakitā tat-pādayoh patitovāca.

adyatoday; mām—Me; avajñāya—disrespecting; nayasi—you go; mayāby Me; āhūtacalled; api—even thoguh; musalena—with the club; tvām—you; kāma-cāriṇīm—going as you like; śatadhā—into a hundred streams; neṣye—I will lead; eva—indeed; nirbhartsitā—rebuked; sa—she; bhūri-bhītā—very afraid; yamunāthe Yamunā; cakitāfrightened; tat-pādayoh—at His feet; patitāfallen; uvāca—spoke.

English translation of verse 8.9.8:

"Today you have no respect for Me. Even though I call, you ignore My order and go your own way as you wish. Now I will divide you into a hundred tiny streams." Rebuked with these words and now very afraid, the Yamunā came before Lord Balarāma, fell at His feet, and said:
