The Garga-samhita Verse 6.15.40, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 15 (The Glories of Nriga-kupa and Gopi-bhumi) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

दैव-योगाद् अस्य पुण्यं
प्राप्तं वै स्वयम् अर्थवत्
येन पुण्येन शुद्धो ऽसौ
तच् छृनु त्वं महा-मते

daiva-yogād asya puṇyaṃ
prāptaṃ vai svayam arthavat
yena puṇyena śuddho 'sau
tac chṛnu tvaṃ mahā-mate

daiva-yogāt—by fate; asyaof him; puṇyam—piety; prāptam—attained; vai—indeed; svayam—personally; arthavat—as money; yena—by whom; puṇyena—by piety; śuddhaḥpure; asau—he; tat—that; śṛnu—please hear; tvam—you; mahā-mate—O noble one.

English translation of verse 6.15.40:

Somehow or other, by destiny, this sinner did perform a pious deed, and by that deed he became purified. O noble-hearted one, please hear the story of this.
