The Garga-samhita Verse 6.6.25, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 6 (The Yadavas’ Victory When Shri Rukmini is Kidnapped) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

बलदेवानुजो वीरो
गदो धुन्वन् महद्-धनुः
विवेश शत्रु-सङ्घट्टं
वनं वह्निर् इव प्रभुः

baladevānujo vīro
gado dhunvan mahad-dhanuḥ
viveśa śatru-saṅghaṭṭaṃ
vanaṃ vahnir iva prabhuḥ

baladevānujaḥ—the younger brother of Balarāma; vīraḥhero; gadaḥGada; dhunvan—shaking; mahad-dhanuḥa great bow; viveśa—entered; śatruof the enemies; saṅghaṭṭam—the host; vanam—a forest; vahniḥ—a fire; iva—like; prabhuḥ—powerful.

English translation of verse 6.6.25:

Shaking his bow, Balarāma's heroic younger brother Gada entered among the enemies as a fire enters a forest.
