सद्यः प्रकम्पितः सिन्धू
रत्नोपायनम् उत्तमम्
नीत्वा तच्-चरणोपान्ते
निपपात कृताञ्जलिः
sadyaḥ prakampitaḥ sindhū
ratnopāyanam uttamam
nītvā tac-caraṇopānte
nipapāta kṛtāñjaliḥ
sadyaḥ—at once; prakampitaḥ—trembling; sindhū—the ocean; ratna—of jewels; upāyanam—gift; uttamam—great; nītvā—bringing; tat-caraṇopānte—at Their feet; nipapāta—fell; kṛtāñjaliḥ—with folded hands.
English translation of verse 5.9.16:
At once the deity of the ocean appeared. Trembling, he offered a gift of jewels to Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma and with folded hands fell at Their feet.
