The Garga-samhita Verse 5.5.27, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 5 (Shri Krishna’s Entrance Into Mathura) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

प्रेक्षन् छ्री-मथुरां कृष्णो
धनिनां मन्दिराणि च
पश्यन् गोपालकैः सार्धं
राज-मार्गं विवेश ह

prekṣan chrī-mathurāṃ kṛṣṇo
dhanināṃ mandirāṇi ca
paśyan gopālakaiḥ sārdhaṃ
rāja-mārgaṃ viveśa ha

prekṣan—looking; śrī-mathurām—at Śrī Mathurā; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; dhaninām—of the wealthy; mandirāṇi—the mansions; ca—and; paśyan—seeing; gopālakaiḥ—the gopas; sārdham—with; rāja-mārgam—the royal road; viveśa—entered; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 5.5.27:

As they gazed at the palaces of the wealthy and the other opulences of Mathurā, Kṛṣṇa and the gopas started to walk on the king's road.
