The Garga-samhita Verse 4.23.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्रि-नारद उवाच एकदा न्र्प गोपालाः

śri-nārada uvāca ekadā nrpa gopālāḥ

चकतै रत्न-पुरितैः

cakatai ratna-puritaiḥ

vrsabhānupanandādyā ājagmuc cāmbikāvanam śri-nārada uvāca—Sri Nārada said; ekadāone day; nrpaO king; gopālāḥ—the gopas; cakatai—with their carts; ratnawith jewels; puritaiḥ—filled; vrsabhānu—by King Vrsabhānu; upanandaand Upananda; ādyāḥheaded; ājagmuc—came; ca—and; ambikāvanam—to Ambikavana.

English translation of verse 4.23.1:

One day the gopas, headed by Upananda and King Vrsabhānu, took many carts filled with jewels to Ambikāvana forest.
