श्रि-नारद उवाच एकदा न्र्प गोपालाः
śri-nārada uvāca ekadā nrpa gopālāḥ
चकतै रत्न-पुरितैः
cakatai ratna-puritaiḥ
vrsabhānupanandādyā ājagmuc cāmbikāvanam śri-nārada uvāca—Sri Nārada said; ekadā—one day; nrpa—O king; gopālāḥ—the gopas; cakatai—with their carts; ratna—with jewels; puritaiḥ—filled; vrsabhānu—by King Vrsabhānu; upananda—and Upananda; ādyāḥ—headed; ājagmuc—came; ca—and; ambikāvanam—to Ambikavana.
English translation of verse 4.23.1:
One day the gopas, headed by Upananda and King Vrsabhānu, took many carts filled with jewels to Ambikāvana forest.
