यशोदा-नन्दयोः पुत्रीं
मायां नीत्वा पुरं ययौ
ववृधे गोकुले कृष्णो
गुप्तो ज्ञातो न कैर् नृभिः
yaśodā-nandayoḥ putrīṃ
māyāṃ nītvā puraṃ yayau
vavṛdhe gokule kṛṣṇo
gupto jñāto na kair nṛbhiḥ
yaśodā-nandayoḥ—of Nadna and Yaśodā; putrīm—the daughter; māyām—Māyā; nītvā—taking; puram—to the city; yayau—went; vavṛdhe—increased; gokule—in Gokula; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; guptaḥ—hidden; jñātaḥ—known; na—not; kair nṛbhiḥ—by anyone.
English translation of verse 4.6.27:
Then to Mathurā City he took Nanda's and Yaśodā's daughter, who was the goddess Māyā. As Kṛṣṇa grew up on Gokula, no one understood His real identity.
