The Garga-samhita Verse 2.25.3, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 25 (The Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

गोलोक-वासिन्यो नर्यो
वेत्र-हस्ता महा-बलाः
चक्रुर् बलात् तन्-निषेधं
मार्ग-स्था द्वार-पालिकाः

goloka-vāsinyo naryo
vetra-hastā mahā-balāḥ
cakrur balāt tan-niṣedhaṃ
mārga-sthā dvāra-pālikāḥ

goloka-vāsinyaḥ—residing in Goloka; naryaḥwomen; vetra-hastā—with sticks in their hands; mahā-balāḥvery strong; cakruḥ—did; balāt—forcibly; tan-niṣedham—forbidding them; mārga-sthāstanding on the path; dvāra-pālikāḥ—guarding the entrance.

English translation of verse 2.25.3:

Many very powerful, stick-wielding women of Goloka guarded the entrance.

Blocking the path, they and forbade them to enter.
