The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
अथ गोपी-गणैः सार्धं
पश्यन् श्री-यमुना-तटम्
विहर्तुम् आययौ कृष्णो
वृन्दारण्यं मनोहरम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
atha gopī-gaṇaiḥ sārdhaṃ
paśyan śrī-yamunā-taṭam
vihartum āyayau kṛṣṇo
vṛndāraṇyaṃ manoharam

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; athathen; gopī-gaṇaiḥ—with ther gopīs; sārdham—with; paśyan—seeing; śrī-yamunāof the Yamunā; taṭam—the shore; vihartum—to enjoy pastimes; āyayau—came; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; vṛndāraṇyam—to Vṛndāvana; manoharam—beautiful.

English translation of verse 2.24.1:

Śrī Nārada said: Noticing that He had come to the Yamunā's shore, Lord Kṛṣṇa proceeded to beautiful Vṛndāvana forest to enjoy pastimes with the gopīs.
