The Garga-samhita Verse 2.20.26, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 20 (The Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

जगत्-कर्ता पालकस् त्वं
संहारस्यापि नायकः
तच् छ्रुत्वा वेत्र-दण्डेन
कृष्णो भूमिं तताड ह

jagat-kartā pālakas tvaṃ
saṃhārasyāpi nāyakaḥ
tac chrutvā vetra-daṇḍena
kṛṣṇo bhūmiṃ tatāḍa ha

jagat-kartāthe creator of the universes; pālakaḥthe protector; tvam—You; saṃhārasya—of devastation; api—also; nāyakaḥthe leader; tac—that; śrutvāhearing; vetra-daṇḍena—with His stick; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; bhūmim—the earth; tatāḍa—struck; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 2.20.26:

"You are the creator, protector and destroyer of the worlds."

Hearing this, Lord Kṛṣṇa struck the ground with His stick.
