जगत्-कर्ता पालकस् त्वं
संहारस्यापि नायकः
तच् छ्रुत्वा वेत्र-दण्डेन
कृष्णो भूमिं तताड ह
jagat-kartā pālakas tvaṃ
saṃhārasyāpi nāyakaḥ
tac chrutvā vetra-daṇḍena
kṛṣṇo bhūmiṃ tatāḍa ha
jagat-kartā—the creator of the universes; pālakaḥ—the protector; tvam—You; saṃhārasya—of devastation; api—also; nāyakaḥ—the leader; tac—that; śrutvā—hearing; vetra-daṇḍena—with His stick; kṛṣṇaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; bhūmim—the earth; tatāḍa—struck; ha—indeed.
English translation of verse 2.20.26:
"You are the creator, protector and destroyer of the worlds."
Hearing this, Lord Kṛṣṇa struck the ground with His stick.
