The Garga-samhita Verse 2.16.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 16 (The Worship of Tulasi) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

तुलसी-प्रभवैर् पत्रैर्
यो नरः पूजयेद् धरिम्
लिप्यते न स पापेन
पद्म-पत्रम् इवाम्भसा

tulasī-prabhavair patrair
yo naraḥ pūjayed dharim
lipyate na sa pāpena
padma-patram ivāmbhasā

tulasīfrom Tulasī; prabhavaiḥ—grown; patraiḥ—with leaves; yaḥ—who; naraḥa person; pūjayet—worships; harim—Kṛṣṇa; lipyate—is touched; na—not; saḥ—he; pāpena—by sin; padma-patram—a lotus leaf; iva—like; ambhasa—by water.

English translation of verse 2.16.8:

A person who with offerings of Tulasī-leaves worships Lord Kṛṣṇa is not touched by sin as a lotus-leaf is not touched by water.
