श्री-देवाव् ऊचतुः
आवां मुक्तौ ब्रह्म-दण्डात्
सद्यस् ते ऽच्युत दर्शनात्
माभूत् ते निज-भक्तानां
हेलनं ह्य् आवयोर् हरे
śrī-devāv ūcatuḥ
āvāṃ muktau brahma-daṇḍāt
sadyas te 'cyuta darśanāt
mābhūt te nija-bhaktānāṃ
helanaṃ hy āvayor hare
śrī-devau ūcatuḥ—the demigods said; āvām—we; muktau—liberated; brahma-daṇḍāt—from the punishment of a brāhmaṇa; sadyaḥ—at once; te—by You; acyuta—O infallible Lord; darśanāt—by the sight; mā—not; abhūt—was; te—of You; nija-bhaktānām—of the devotees; helanam—insult; hi—indeed; avayoḥ—of us; hare—O Lord Hari.
English translation of verse 1.19.19:
The two demigods said: O infallible Lord, by seeing You we are now free from a brāhmaṇa's punishment. We should not have offended Your devotees.
