करुणा-निधये तुभ्यं
जगन्-मङ्गल-शीलिने
दामोदराय कृष्णाय
गोविन्दाय नमो नमः
karuṇā-nidhaye tubhyaṃ
jagan-maṅgala-śīline
dāmodarāya kṛṣṇāya
govindāya namo namaḥ
karuṇā—of mercy; tubhyam—to You; jagat—of the universes; maṅgala—auspiciousness; śīline—whose nature; dāmodarāya—whose belly is bound with a rope; kṛṣṇāya—to Lord Kṛṣṇa; govindāya—the pleasure of the cows, land, and senses; namaḥ—obeisances; namaḥ—obeisances.
English translation of verse 1.19.20:
Obeisances, obeisances to You, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the pleasure of the cows, land, and senses, the auspiciousness of the worlds, an ocean of mercy, the Lord whose belly is bound with a rope!
