The Garga-samhita Verse 1.11.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 11 (Description of Shri Krishnacandra’s Birth) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अहो वैरानुबन्धेन
साक्षात् कृष्णो ऽपि दृश्यते
तस्माद् वैरं प्रकुर्वन्ति
कृष्ण-प्राप्त्य्-आर्थम् आसुराः

aho vairānubandhena
sākṣāt kṛṣṇo 'pi dṛśyate
tasmād vairaṃ prakurvanti
kṛṣṇa-prāpty-ārtham āsurāḥ

ahaḥ—ah; vaira-anubandhena—with hatred; sākṣātdirectly; kṛṣṇaḥKṛṣṇa; api—even; dṛśyate—is seen; tasmāt—from that; vairam—hatred; prakurvanti—do; kṛṣṇa—Kṛṣṇa; prāpti-ārtham—to attain; āsurāḥ—the demons.

English translation of verse 1.11.6:

Even by hating Him one is able to see Kṛṣṇa. For this reason, in order to attain the association of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the demons hate Him.
