जात-मात्रं हनिष्यामीत्य्
उक्त्वास्ते भय-विह्वलः
पश्यन् सर्वत्र च हरिं
पूर्व-शत्रुं विचिन्तयन्
jāta-mātraṃ haniṣyāmīty
uktvāste bhaya-vihvalaḥ
paśyan sarvatra ca hariṃ
pūrva-śatruṃ vicintayan
jāta—born; mātram—only; haniṣyāmi—I will kill; itit—thus; uktvā—sayinh; āste—is; bhaya-vihvalaḥ—overcome with fear; paśyan—looking; sarvatra—everywhere; ca—also; harim—Lord Hari; pūrva—before; śatrum—enemy; vicintayan—thinking.
English translation of verse 1.11.5:
"As soon as He is born I will kill Him." Saying this, looking in all directions, and thinking of his former enemy Lord Hari, he became filled with fear.
