The Garga-samhita Verse 1.11.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 11 (Description of Shri Krishnacandra’s Birth) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

जात-मात्रं हनिष्यामीत्य्
उक्त्वास्ते भय-विह्वलः
पश्यन् सर्वत्र च हरिं
पूर्व-शत्रुं विचिन्तयन्

jāta-mātraṃ haniṣyāmīty
uktvāste bhaya-vihvalaḥ
paśyan sarvatra ca hariṃ
pūrva-śatruṃ vicintayan

jātaborn; mātram—only; haniṣyāmi—I will kill; itit—thus; uktvā—sayinh; āste—is; bhaya-vihvalaḥovercome with fear; paśyan—looking; sarvatraeverywhere; ca—also; harim—Lord Hari; pūrvabefore; śatrum—enemy; vicintayan—thinking.

English translation of verse 1.11.5:

"As soon as He is born I will kill Him." Saying this, looking in all directions, and thinking of his former enemy Lord Hari, he became filled with fear.
