The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
भीतह् पलायते नायं
योद्धारह् कंस-नोदितह्
अयुतं शस्त्र-सम्युक्ता
रुरुधुह् शौरि-मन्दिरं

śrī-nārada uvāca
bhītah palāyate nāyaṃ
yoddhārah kaṃsa-noditah
ayutaṃ śastra-samyuktā
rurudhuh śauri-mandiraṃ

śrī-nāradah uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; bhītah—frightened; palāyate—flees; na—not; ayamhe; yoddhārah—soldiers; kaṃsaby Kaṃsa; noditah—sent; ayutam—ten thousand; śastra-samyuktāh—with weapons; rurudhuh—stopped; śauriVasudeva's; mandiram—palace.

English translation of verse 1.10.1:

Frightened Vasudeva could not flee, for ten thousand armed soldiers sent by Kaṃsa surrounded Vasudeva's palace.
