The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.2.60, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 60 of Adi-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Appearance”.

নানা-দেশ হৈতে লোক নবদ্বীপে যায নবদ্বীপে পডিলে সে ‘বিদ্যা-রস’ পায ॥ ৬০ ॥
नाना-देश हैते लोक नवद्वीपे याय नवद्वीपे पडिले से ‘विद्या-रस’ पाय ॥ ६० ॥
nānā-deśa haite loka navadvīpe yāya navadvīpe paḍile se ‘vidyā-rasa’ pāya || 60 ||
nana-desa haite loka navadvipe yaya navadvipe padile se ‘vidya-rasa’ paya (60)
English translation:
(60) Many people came from various provinces to study in Navadvīpa, because by studying there one achieved a taste for education.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Students interested in studying logic came from Maithila to Navadvīpa. Many sannyāsīs and qualified professors from Vārāṇasī in North India came to study Vedānta in Navadvīpa. Many students from Kāñcī in South India also came to study in Navadvīpa. Therefore student communities from various provinces came to Navadvīpa and got the opportunity to become expert scholars of various scriptures.
