The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.2.59, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 59 of Adi-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Appearance”.

সবে মহা-অধ্যাপক করি’ গর্ব ধরে বালকেও ভট্টাচার্য-সনে কক্ষ করে ॥ ৫৯ ॥
सबे महा-अध्यापक करि’ गर्व धरे बालकेओ भट्टाचार्य-सने कक्ष करे ॥ ५९ ॥
sabe mahā-adhyāpaka kari’ garva dhare bālakeo bhaṭṭācārya-sane kakṣa kare || 59 ||
sabe maha-adhyapaka kari’ garva dhare balakeo bhattacarya-sane kaksa kare (59)
English translation:
(59) They were all proud of being great scholars. Even a young boy would challenge his teacher.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The cultivation of knowledge was so mature that people all considered
themselves matchless scholars. By the power of their learning, even young students who were still studying competed with elder mature teachers with hopes of winning. The word kakṣa in this verse means “competition” or “debate on the scriptures.”
