Text 27
The Vedas (Ṛg Veda) describe the truth of the holy name (nāma-tattva):
eva saṃsāra-bhayāt tārayati tasmād ucyate tāra itiOne who chants oṃ , which is very close to brahma [here meaning the Supreme Lord] and which indicates brahma , is liberated from the fear of the material world. Therefore oṃ is famous by the name tāraka-brahma (the deliverer).
