Śivapraṇava (शिवप्रणव) refers to the “Śaiva Praṇava”, according to the Vijñānabhairavatantra (39).—Accordingly, “The vedic Praṇava is the syllable Om; the Śaiva Praṇava (śivapraṇava) is the syllable Hūm and the Māyā Praṇava is the syllable Hrīm; many such methods are taught in the Tantras”.
