kalaṇēṃ (कलणें).—v i (kala) To lie over; to incline one side; to heel or tip. 2 fig. To begin to decline; to be past noon--the day: to be past midnight--the night. 3 fig. To have a bent, bearing, leaning towards--the mind, will, disposition.

kaḷaṇēṃ (कळणें).—v i (kalanā S) To be understood or known to; to be clear unto. 2 To tingle or thrill; to be sensible, or instinct with some lively sensation (esp. of pain)--a limb or member. kaḷē na kaḷē itakā A little, very little, a quantity scarcely perceptible. kaḷē nā vaḷē nā bhājī bhākara gi- ḷē nā Used of an utter ignoramus or non compos.
