Ex. tyācī āī pañcāṇṇava varṣēṃ jagalī. 2 To live out, to survive, to be spared, saved, preserved: to escape destruction. Ex. hyā jarīmarīntūna jō jagēla tō puḍhacēṃ varṣa pāhīla; tīna gharēṃ jaḷalīṃ tyācēṃ ghara jagalēṃ.

jāgaṇēṃ (जागणें).—v i (jāgṛ S) To wake, watch, keep awake. 2 To be awake. 3 To be vigilant; to be on one's guard. 4 To be alive or attentive to; to be regardful of (one's business, service, character, oath, promise). 5 To be fresh, vivid, present, at command--a science &c. acquired.
