atha bhagavata etadabhavat: kasya nvahaṃ tatprathamato dharmaṃ deśayeyamiti; tasyaitadabhavat: yanvahaṃ pañcakānāṃ bhikṣūṇāṃ tatprathamato dharmaṃ deśayeyamiti; ye māṃ pūrvaṃ duḥkhaprahāṇayogamanuyuktaṃ viharantaṃ satkṛtyopatastuḥ premṇā ca gauraveṇa ca; atha bhagavata etadabhavat: kutra tvetarhi pañcakā bhikṣavo viharanti iti; adrākṣīdbhagavān divyena cakṣuṣā viśuddhena atikrāntamānuṣeṇa pañcakān bhikṣūn; vārāṇasyāṃ viharanti ṛṣivadane mṛgadāve; dṛṣṭvā ca punaryathābhiramyaṃ bodhimūle vihṛtya yena vārāṇasī kāśīnāṃ nigamastena cārikāṃ prakrāntaḥ
