This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.99

वीर्यकायेन सम्पन्नो प्रज्ञापृथुसमाहितो ।
नव कल्पानि स्थायेसि वीर्येण पुरुषोत्तमः ॥ ९९ ॥

vīryakāyena sampanno prajñāpṛthusamāhito |
nava kalpāni sthāyesi vīryeṇa puruṣottamaḥ || 99 ||

“Endowed with an energetic body and having attained wide wisdom I stood supreme in energy among men for nine kalpas. (99)
