Verse 2.34 - Birth in special beds (upapāda-janma)

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation of Tattvartha sūtra 2.34:

देवनारकाणामुपपादः ॥ २.३४ ॥

devanārakāṇāmupapādaḥ || 2.34 ||

The celestial (deva) and infernal (nāraka) beings are born in special beds–upapādajanma. (34)

Hindi Anvayarth:

अन्वयार्थ: [देवनारकाणाम्] देव और नारकी जीवों के [उपपादः] उपपादजन्म ही होता है अर्थात् उपपादजन्म उन जीवों के ही होता है।

Anvayartha: [devanarakanam] deva aura naraki jivom ke [upapadah] upapadajanma hi hota hai arthat upapadajanma una jivom ke hi hota hai |
