The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.187.58

एवं हि रसतन्मात्रं गन्धतन्मात्रमेव च ।
असत्यमेव सदिव स्वप्नाभमिव चेत्यते ॥ ५८ ॥

evaṃ hi rasatanmātraṃ gandhatanmātrameva ca |
asatyameva sadiva svapnābhamiva cetyate || 58 ||

So the properties of odour and flavour, are as well as the substances of sound and air; and these unrealities seem as real ones, like the dreams that are seen and thought of in our minds.
