The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न ग्रहीता न च ग्राह्यस्त्वादृशार्थावबोधिनाम् ।
न चैव देशकालानां क्वचिदावृत्तिकारकः ॥ १२ ॥

na grahītā na ca grāhyastvādṛśārthāvabodhinām |
na caiva deśakālānāṃ kvacidāvṛttikārakaḥ || 12 ||

I was then neither the subject or object of perception of persons like yourself, who dwell on sensible objects alone; nor did I make any reckoning of the distance of space or succession of time.
